Carrying the banner of resistance against the Jin Dynasty and killing his traitorous friends in anger.
In his later years, Xin Qiji wrote a summary of his youthful uprising against the Jin Dynasty, expressing his determination and sentiment to persevere against the Jin Dynasty, which is the famous “Partridge Sky – A guest talked about his success and fame with emotion, because he remembered the events of his youth. The Yan soldiers were carrying the silver beasts at night, and the Han arrows were flying in the morning. I am remembering the past and sighing today, but the spring breeze does not stain my white beard. But will be ten thousand words Ping Rong policy, in exchange for the East to plant a tree book.
During the Southern Song Dynasty, the Jin Dynasty occupied the northern part of the Song Dynasty. Some Han Chinese, who had long been enslaved and oppressed by the Jin, could not stand it any longer and took up the banner against the Jin, among which the most powerful team rose up in Shandong, led by Geng Jing, a peasant from Jinan. As a teenager, Xin Qiji looked forward to the day when he could personally drive away the Jin soldiers and reclaim the lost land.
When he was 22 years old, that is, in Shaoxing XXXI (1161), the Jin lord Wanyan Liang once again raised an army to invade the south, and Xin Qiji took advantage of the enemy’s vacancy in the rear to gather more than 2,000 villagers in his hometown to revolt. Seeing Geng Jing’s growing popularity, Xin Qiji took this group and defected to Geng Jing. Seeing that he was a literary man, Geng Jing made him the head secretary of the rebel army, in charge of the great seal, confidential documents, etc. More importantly, Xin Qiji could advise him and be his think tank and high counselor.
Xin Qiji had a friend named Yiduan, a monk who liked to talk about war, so Xin Qiji had a deep relationship with him. After Xin Qiji joined Geng Jing’s volunteer army, he persuaded Yiduan to join Geng Jing as well. The monk was not strong-willed, and felt that the army was more bitter, but stole the seal of the army kept by Xin Qiji and defected to the Jin army. The loss of the seal, which symbolizes the authority of the commander-in-chief, Geng Jing was furious and reprimanded Xin Qiji, and ordered the military justice for not getting back the seal. Being betrayed by his friend, Xin Qiji was even more furious, so he set a military order to get back the seal in three days. Xin Qiji single person and sword, long horse to the direction of the Jin army station, and indeed on the way to intercept Yiduan.
When Yiduan saw the murderous Xin Qiji, he knew he was no match for him, so he rolled off his horse in fear and said, “I know the truth about you, you are a green bull, and your strength can kill people, please don’t kill me.” The “green bull” that Yiduan referred to was an ancient legendary green rhinoceros, which was very large and weighed more than a thousand pounds. According to his friend Chen Liang, Xin Qiji’s adult figure was described as “a man with a prismatic vision, enough to reflect a world of pride; a man with a burden on his back, enough to carry the weight of four countries”. Obviously, since childhood, Xin Qiji practiced martial arts, physical fitness is indeed quite majestic and heroic. Yiduan naturally scared out of his mind, soft as a pile, can only kneel down to beg for mercy. At this time, Xin Qiji who cares about him these nonsense? A wave of the sword, it ended the traitor Yiduan dog’s life, search out the big seal, to the volunteer army’s camp dash, to Geng Jing to resume orders. This incident made Xin Qiji’s fame among the righteous army.
He broke into the enemy camp alone and caught the rebel among 10,000 people
Xin Qiji once wrote another song, which also describes his great years of fighting against the Jin in the north, expressing his ideal of killing the enemy to serve the country and recovering the lost land, vividly portraying the image of a general who is courageous, loyal and forward-looking. This is the poem “Breaking the Array – A Magnificent Speech for Chen Tongfu”: “Drunkenly picking the lamp to see the sword, dreaming of returning to the camp with the blowing horns. Eight hundred miles under the command, fifty strings overturning the sound of the outside world. The sands of the autumn. The horses are as fast as the flying Lu, the bows are like thunderbolt strings. The king’s affairs are settled, and the name of the king’s life is won. Pity the white occurrence!
Later, Xin Qiji saw that the situation in the north against the Jin Dynasty was developing rapidly, and the strength of the volunteer army was growing, but it also needed the recognition of the state, so he persuaded Geng Jing to return to Song with a form. In the first month of the 32nd year of Shaoxing, Geng Jing sent Xin Qiji and Jia Rui, another leader of the Yi army, to Jiankang (now Nanjing) to meet with Song Gaozong who was here. At this time, the warrior Song Gaozong was very happy, immediately summoned Xin Qiji and others, the officials and rewards: appointed Geng Jing as the Tianping Army Festival Ambassador, Jia Rui as Dunwu Lang Hemen Giao, given a gold belt each; Xin Qiji was named right Chengwu Lang, and also rewarded more than 200 leaders of the volunteer army.
Xin Qiji they were on their way back to Chuzhou (now Huai’an City, Jiangsu Province, Chuzhou District), when they arrived at the boundary, the news of a shocking change in the volunteer army: Geng Jing was killed! It turned out that there was a general named Zhang Anguo in the army, Geng Jing’s old subordinate, Geng Jing trusted him very much, but this Zhang Anguo, in order to get the bounty from the Jin, took advantage of the absence of Jia Rui and Xin Qiji, colluded with some rebels, broke into Geng Jing’s tent and killed him.
Xin Qiji discussed with the garrison guard that he would go to Zhang Anguo’s residence in Jizhou Province to catch the traitor. Xin Qiji carefully selected 50 warriors as a death squad and returned to Shandong without stopping, heading straight to the 50,000-strong enemy camp in Jizhou Province, where the traitor Zhang Anguo was hosting a banquet for guests. Xin Qiji and the warriors who went with him barged into the hall and saw Zhang Anguo and some rebel generals drinking and having fun at the banquet, they were furious and without saying a word, they tied Zhang Anguo up and pulled him out of the court. When the soldiers of Jeju arrived, they had already tied Zhang Anguo to his horse. The soldiers of Jeju saw Xin Qiji’s majestic look, no one dared to do anything. Xin Qiji took the traitor to the Jiankang camp, where the Southern Song court examined Zhang Anguo’s crime and immediately had him beheaded for public display. At that time, Xin Qiji was 23 years old, with 50 to 50,000, and returned unharmed, this is really full of courage, courageous ah!
The formation of the Flying Tiger Army, to lay the foundation for the Jin resistance
Later, Xin Qiji served as the Jiangxi Provincial Criminal passing through the mouth of the Zuokou, climbing the Yugu Terrace to look at the distant, through the water and resent the mountain, expressing the country’s rise and fall, after the hopelessness of the Jin resistance, he went to Jiangxi to eliminate the rebel tea merchant army in one fell swoop. This left the famous “Bodhisattva barbaric – book Jiangxi Zuokou wall”: Yuguotai under the clear river water, how many pedestrian tears in the middle. Looking northwest Chang’an, pity the countless mountains. The green mountains cannot cover the river, but after all, it flows in the east. In the evening, when the river is full of sorrow, partridges are heard in the mountains.
Later, Xin Qiji became the deputy ambassador of Hunan transit, and he was determined to form a real special force called the Flying Tiger Army to lay the foundation for future resistance against the Jin Dynasty. However, at this time, the Southern Song government pursued peace negotiations, coupled with the vilification and impeachment of some courtiers, Xin Qiji was unable to exercise his passion to serve the country, and finally returned to the field. He could only use poetry to express his will to serve his country. One of his poems, “Yongxianle – Huai Gu Pavilion at Jingkou”, written when Xin Qiji was 66 years old, is not only one of the most ancient words, but also expresses his feelings that there is no way to fight against the Jin Dynasty: A thousand ancient rivers and mountains, heroes have no place to find Sun Zhongmou. The dance pavilions and song platforms are always blown away by the rain and wind. The grass and trees in the sunset and the ordinary lanes and alleys are all the same. In those days, when the golden sword and iron horse swallowed ten thousand miles like a tiger. Yuanjia, the wolves were sealed, and they won the north. Forty-three years ago, I still remember the road to Yangzhou. I can look back and see the sacred crows and drums under the Buddha Beaver Shrine. Who can ask whether Lian Po, who is old, can still eat?
Finally, Xin Qiji, the hero of the Jin resistance and our great warrior, died of anger at the age of 68. When he was dying, he shouted, “Kill the thief! Kill the thieves!”
